5.0 out of 5 stars Best Windows laptop I've ever owned
By shopping expert
I've been using a series of Samsung laptops over the last ten years or so, due to its amazing screen, and slim form factor. Among all of them, this is by far the best one that gives me the highest satisfaction.Comparisions will be mostly based on my previous laptop: Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. The screen is equally amazing, and the touch screen is a big plus as before. However the biggest improvements are1. Battery life: this one with Snapdragon X Elite lasts easily longer than 10 hours, in most cases around 15 hours. To be honest, I don't exactly know how long it lasts, because this is not a relevant factor I think of any more everyday. This was very different from the previous versions; I always had to make sure that I have enough battery time when travelling. Now this is not a concern any more and is a biggest positive factor to me.2. Noise and heat: this one with Snapdragon X Elite stays cool and silent mostly. It's still very fast with being noisy and hot. Wow. No more fan noises and heats. This is the second positive factor definitely.3. Keyboard: Samsung Galaxy Book series has a very slim profile since several years ago, including Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. A downside is that the keyboard became much worse, being very shallow. This Galaxy Book 4 Edge's keyboard looks quite similar, but I feel that its typing experience is significantly better with deeper strokes. I don't know how this was achieved and I was surprised to find that the Galaxy Book Pro 5 series didn't adopt this improved version, having the same shallow keyboard as 3 or 4 Pro series..To me, this laptop is amazingly satisfactory in most relevant aspects (battery life, silence, temperature, speed), while maintaining the advantages of this series (amazing AMOLED screen, nice design, slim profile). There is still some room for improvement such as speakers, and compatibility issues being ARM architectures, the latter of which might prevent some users from considering this model. However, if most of the jobs is based on standard things like Chrome, MS office, etc., this is going to surprise you a big time! Highly underrated monster!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy
By Maryh
I am very impressed with the laptop that I received for much less than it would be bought for brand new. It came in the original box with what I believe is the original charger. This is my first *new* laptop in almost 4 years and I am over the moon that I picked the one that I did. It's a very nice laptop with beautiful features and SO greatly made. It's everything I wanted in a laptop, and I was able to get the qualities/features at the right price point by buying it renewed from Amazon. I am very happy with my purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat! also techy approved by my tech-obsessed husband :) No laptops in the same price range compare to this renewed laptop :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual screen resolution of this laptop?
The product details show conflicting information. The 'specs' section lists 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K UHD), while the 'product_details' section lists a max resolution of 2880x1800 pixels. The 'standing_screen_display_size' is confirmed as 16 inches.
What type of RAM does this renewed Galaxy Book4 Edge have installed?
There is a discrepancy in the provided data. The 'specs' section states the RAM is DDR4, while the 'product_details' section lists the computer memory type as DDR5 RAM. The total installed memory is 16GB.
Is the Snapdragon X Elite processor a 4-core CPU?
No. The 'processor' field showing '4 Snapdragon' is likely a truncated or mislabeled entry. The Snapdragon X Elite is a 12-core processor, as indicated by the marketing copy describing it as the chip powering this Copilot+ PC.
What specific integrated graphics does this laptop use?
The laptop uses the Qualcomm Adreno GPU integrated into the Snapdragon X Elite system-on-a-chip. The 'product_details' also lists a 'graphics_coprocessor' as ARM Mali-T604, which may be an error or refer to a secondary component.
What does 'Renewed' mean for this specific model?
This is a professionally inspected and tested pre-owned Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge (model NP960XMB-KB1CA) that has been restored to full functionality. It comes with a 1TB SSD, 16GB of memory, the Snapdragon X Elite processor, and the original Sapphire Blue color, but is sold through Amazon's Renewed program, not as new.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
