5.0 out of 5 stars Good & fast for my uses
By Don
I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. My black Friday pick was sold out but I've been very happy I chose this. No touchscreen but a good quality keyboard and touchpad make up for it. One little quirk: Google assistant only works when plugged in. That's weird and the only downside I've found.Great quality on my telehealth visits. Video and camera quality were good and smooth. Sound surprising since there are no visible speakers. Construction quality seems substantial. just what I expected from Samsung. Lightweight, sturdy, battery life of 10+ hours makes this unit fine for me so far. My first Chromebook and I was skeptical of them, but so far, for me, the usefulness. performance and speed for the price makes a great value. Can't find anything to complain about. 5 star happy after 6 months of daily use and I don't give 5 stars lightly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Survived 4.5 years of worldwide travel
By Henry
Decent laptop, does all Google functions well but anything else is asking for trouble. Laptop traveled extremely well, I’ve taken it all over the world and generally had no issues. Laptop lasted from May 2021 to November 2025, where after 4.5 years of travel it’s finally failed to start up. I could probably fix it but more likely will just buy new computer

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
