5.0 out of 5 stars Overall the best non gaming laptop out there
By Amazon Customer
So Razer is hit or miss with their products, but the funny thing is their best laptops are NOT their gaming ones. This is overall the BEST non gaming laptop money can buy imo.The design is simple but sleek and attractive with the mellowed down razer logo and mercury white solid aluminium finish. It has the ports you need in two thunderbolt USB c, one USB a, a headphone jack and a micro SD slot. The screen has thin bezels and is touch with a 16 x 10 1200 p aspect ratio(4K is NOT needed on a 13 inch display trust me). Chroma is bright and optional(you may turn it off if you'd like). Lastly the keyboard is clicky and responsive and the track pad is very good. The speakers sound pretty good with the thx spatial audio which widens the sound and you can adjust the eq to your liking. This model has a very fast SSD paired with an i7 that boots up in less than 5 seconds. 16gb of ram is all you really need so don't worry about upgrading. The battery life is good as well.FYI most windows laptops come with bloatware so I'd recommend deleting the crap apps and ones you don't need soon after purchase. All in all this laptop is just stellar as an overall well built and powerful tool for all but serious gamers. This can easily travel with you and handle any task you throw at it. This can stay at home and replace your old desktop. It can be plugged into an external graphics if you want to game. It's nearly perfect aside from being a tad pricey and not having a beefy graphics card.If you can pony up the money though, it beats most Ultrabooks by a mile.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful professional laptop and a serious competitor to dell-xps 13's
By KA
Product: Razer Book 13 FHD+Touch (1920x1200), 16GB RAM, 512GB PCIe M.2 - CNC Aluminum - Mercury WhiteSummary: Good built quality, an upscale look like apple, aluminum body and glass touchpad give a high-end appearance. Performance is decent there is no dedicated graphics card but the processor and RAM are all high performance (currently) so this makes a good professional or business laptop but not for gaming. This is priced better than dellxps and a serious contender to take its place. I like it turns on instant just like macs. The only con I see the keyboard, it doesn't feel quite responsive, which it could have been much better.TL;DR:Performance:Book 13's comes with Intel 11th gen i7 processors that are 4 core 8thread with upto 2.8 GHz clock speed, benchmark tests (Cinebench R23), show (see pictures attached) a decent performance on single core rendering tests on CPU but an average performer with multicore tests. It got integrated IRIS xe graphics and no dedicated graphics card which is little disappointing for the price tag. Comparing to xps that comes with similar processor, Razer scores more on the build quality and aesthetics.Features:Noteworthy features are the touchscreen display 1900x1200 pixels a 4K display on this model. The keyboard got the chroma built-in to satisfy Razer fans also it can be turned off or set to traditional white (close enough, slight blue tint) light backlit keyboard. It got a standard size HDMI port which is nice along with two thurderbolt 4 usbc type ports on either side of the laptop. Possible to charge from either side. There is only one USB type A port and there is a 3.5 mm audio jack as well as mini SD card reader (for photo editors). The ports are well chosen to maximize the space and use. It comes with THX spatial audio and the speakers are located on either side of the keyboard. Though the speaker volume feels slightly lower than competition I have learned that at higher volumes the THX comes out really nice, it feels surround for sure.work/use experience:I am using this laptop for few weeks now, the laptop is lightweight and it feels great with nice finish on all surfaces and the corners are perfectly shaped. It feels super solid under handrests and no cheap plastic anywhere. The construction definitely scores a lot points for Razer book 13. The battery life is decent, I get over 9 hour use for a moderate use like mostly browsing and office work. It comes with Windows 11 software and great thing is there is no bloatware installed. I experience once in awhile a little flicker on screen, I read online that this is associated with processor and hopefully fixed with updates (this is same with all Iris Xe processors. I did not play video games so not sure if this will be worse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the exact screen resolution and aspect ratio?
The display has a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, which is a 16:10 aspect ratio, not 16:9 as listed in one section. This provides more vertical screen space than traditional 16:9 Full HD.
Does this laptop have a dedicated graphics card?
No, it uses integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. The marketing copy mentions it performs 'as if having a dedicated graphics card,' but it is an integrated solution, not a separate GPU.
What type and speed are the Thunderbolt ports?
It has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which use the USB-C connector and support very fast data transfer, video output, and charging. The SSD is also connected via a Thunderbolt interface.
How long does the battery typically last on a charge?
According to the product details, the average battery life is approximately 10 hours. This is supported by a vapor chamber cooling system designed to help maintain this battery life during use.
Is the 16GB of RAM upgradeable or soldered onto the motherboard?
The specifications list the memory as 16 GB DDR4, but the product details also list a 'flash memory size' of 16 GB, which typically indicates the RAM is soldered and not user-upgradeable after purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good So Far!

I heard mixed reviews on this. I took a chance and it's only been 2 weeks, but so far so good. The Alienware software takes about 10 to 20 seconds to load when first opening it. after that 5-10. The back end got flack for being too big. But Who is really carrying around a 16 inch gaming laptop. Keys feel great. RGB is good. Keys are clear and not blinding like most RGB backlits. Design is good imo. feels premium. Cam is decent. Touch pad is smooth. Display is nice, all text is clear and colors are good. I heard many people complaining about the brightness levels. But in a dark room I actually turn the brightness down. And in my home with normal outdoor light coming in, I have no issues with the brightness. 2 usb 2 usb c, this is the only downside. in my opinion. I wish there was one more. I do like there are no cables coming from the sides. All ports in back. Cleaner desk look. will update if I have any issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this laptop!!!

This laptop is a GIANT waste of money. It didn't last for 2 weeks before the system stopped charging itself and shut down. I had to return it without being able to remove my data. I am VERY disappointed with this product and purchase.
