5.0 out of 5 stars Budget friendly beast
By KA
The media could not be loaded. My son has been wanting a gaming laptop for a while so with Christmas coming I did some research and finally landed on this one. Since he already has other gaming devices I really didn't want to throw a ton of money into a new laptop at the moment.Out of the box it feels like a very sturdy well built laptop and the 15.6″ size is a comfortable size for general use and gaming laptop. It has a super fast 32GB of RAM and can store plenty of memory with 1TB SDD hard drive.I really like the fact my son can use this laptop not only for gaming but also daily for homework, social media, music and whatever browsing he might do.If you need a budget- friendly laptop for basic tasks (web, docs, streaming, light gaming) the XU156 is fine, but for heavy gaming, heavy multi-tasking, or professional creative work you'll want something with a stronger CPU (e.g. Intel it/i7 or AMD Ryzen) which the gaming version of this PC has the AMD Ryzen R5-7520h so for a budget- friendly option this laptop is a beast.

5.0 out of 5 stars 10/10

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been stalling on getting a prebuilt pc, mainly because I’m wary of specs being bad, so I decided to get a gaming laptop since they’re less complex, I originally hesitated purchasing from this brand, but I got the laptop, played Roblox and Valorant on it, it can handle both at full graphics, 1080p, with over 100 fps, the cpu is extremely fast, the loads times are very good! And the build quality is nice, the fans do get a bit loud though, but that doesn’t really matter.Yes this is a real review, I hope everyone enjoys if they buy. <3It’s more than worth the price, doesn’t heat up too much, and it’s easy to setup. For what it’s worth I’ve had it for a month and I will say that it’s definitely done a great job with keeping up with all that I need to do when it comes to paperwork and documents. I have tried to play games some games work very well others being that they’re newer games aren’t as well being that it doesn’t have the graphics it needs, but if you’re doing light gaming or just simple business work and Webb scrolling and stuff it’s definitely a good Laptop for young adults or teenagers. If you’re in the market for a teenager sound quality on the speakers aren’t that loud but for what it’s worth we all use headphones so not big of a deal. The boot time for it to start up is amazing how fast it starts quality seems very good. battery Life is very short. I suggest keeping this plugged in at all times if you’re trying to do travels you’re probably gonna get about 3-4 hours (maybe) , especially gaming. Performance again like stated earlier not too bad and the set up was very easy. The real big part about this is the hundred watt USB-C you’re able to use that for multiple devices and if you have a newer phone that would be a big game changer for when you need to get a quick juice up that charger will do the trick. For my part being text savvy and have not gotten a new laptop since 2010 I will say this is a very good mid-level entry for gaming light but for all else doing programs when it comes to podcasting stuff like that, it’ll definitely be a good start up

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
