I feel pretty embarrassed that I ever wrote this, since the computer croaked in 5 months, but I’ll let it stand as a warning. This thing is junk. I’m back to brand names!Now, here’s what I thought at first:A loaded computer for under $500? And who's Nimo? But Amazon's returns are so easy, I figured I'd give it a try.I'm glad I did! It's a wonderful machine, crazy good for this price point. I've had it for a month, and everything's been perfect, maybe even a little better than that.My experiences have been great. Careful packaging for shipping. The laptop a good weight, substantial but not opressive. I ordered the dark Blue by accident, knowing I could return it, but I've ended up liking it: it still looks professional, and it's a welcome break from the monotony of Black. Setup directions are onboard and setup is fast and easy, even if you want to customize them. The machine was up and running in less than an hour, everything transferred and connected flawlessly.Operation is cool and quiet. I was again surprised by how fast, easy, and secure the fingerprint function is. Now I wouldn't be without it. The screen is just right, big but not overwhelming, very crisp, sharp, and natural. The size makes a big difference for ease of use, but the machine feels hardly bigger than my old one. It's fast, and I was amazed at what I had been putting up with in my old computer. (I felt like I had got out of jail.) The keyboard layout is logical and compact, even though the keys are bigger than those of my old Asus laptop. The backlighting is helpful, a touch cheerful, no matter what the ambient light.The sound is the usual for a laptop, and at home I like to attach my Klipsch speakers, which sound fine.What's not to like? So far, so good. I feel like I got a great deal on a great computer. I'd recommend it to anyone. Since Nimo is still pretty unknown, I bought an extra warranty for two years. (If the computer turns out to have any problems, they will show up by then.)Check it out. If you don't like it, you can return it. And if you do like it, you'll feel pretty clever about it.UPDATE: BEWARE!! DEAD IN 5 MONTHS. Thank heaven I bought insurance with it!

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this deserves one. I waited a little while to make sure it wouldn’t break down after only a couple months because it was such a good deal. Bought about 6 months ago in December 2024 and it’s still running like new.Pros:-Value for the money. 17” screen, 32 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, huge 53000 mah battery that lasts me 6 hours, backlit keyboard - it’s unbeatable for the price.-Feels very lightweight in hand, especially for its huge screen size.-Screen is bright and clear and viewable from all angles. A huge upgrade from my older laptop.-It has a physical privacy switch to block the camera. There’s a built in slider you can move side to side. I couldn’t tell from the pictures or specs, but I was hoping it had one, and it does.-The system runs very cool due to the processor used, which should considerably extend system lifespan.Cons:-The speakers are really bad. Very quiet and tinny. I need loud speakers, so I have to connect a separate speaker to get the sound loud enough for my taste.-The processor is slower than I expected. I thought it could handle what I do, which is not gaming. Just multiple webpages/tabs/apps open simultaneously for work/watching the markets, but that’s enough to load the processor to max capacity and it slows the system down considerably. For basic usage like streaming/web surfing/basic apps it is very much fast enough though. And the slower processing speed is the tradeoff for the much longer battery life and cooler operating temp.So, long story short, I will likely need a faster laptop at some point. Maybe soon. And I will probably buy it from this company because they easily delivered and even exceeded expectations on the value they advertised. 11/10 for the value and overall build quality.
