Cyborg 15 Thin & Light Gaming Laptop 15.6” FHD 144Hz – RTX 5060, Intel Core 5-210H, 16GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, Windows 11, B2RWFKG-295US

Overall I'm happy with the laptop. Let's start with the Cons.1) There is only 1 usb-c and 2 usb-a ports which is insufficient.2) The usb ports and the 3.5mm headset port are all positioned right on the right side where a right handed person would use a mouse so it's a poor design. They should be on the back, which is completely unutilized.3) The rtx5060 isn't terribly impressive but not terrible. It feels comparable to the 4060 in my 2023 model gaming laptop. If you're gaming you'll want to use the msi center app and turn on performance mode. By default it is in a hybrid mode managed by AI that worries too much about energy conservation...4) There is only one SSD slot so it doesn't support more than one drive which is bizarre heading into 2026.The laptop is listed a as not supporting gen5 nvme m.2 SSDs but that's not true. I upgraded to a 2TB gen5 with no issues, however windows 11 24h2 wouldn't recognize any ssd with either the stock 4th gen 1tb or the 5th gen 2TB I installed so I had to get the IRST driver from the MSI website in order to install windows. You'll also want to grab the other msi drivers if you're doing a fresh install because by default the USB drivers Windows 11 applies transfers data at roughly 5% of capacity.I like that the bright colorful rgbs are only on the keyboard so when the lid is closed you're not lighting up the whole house at night.I also upgraded the ram from 16gb ddr5 to 32gb and upgraded the wifi from the 6e card to the BE200 wifi 7 card.

My Three Cents:I got this MSI Cyborg laptop for my cousin for her graduation gift that I owe her. She's really into her games and her old laptop was super slow. I wanted to get her something that looked cool but was also strong enough for her to play on.This one is awesome. The "translucent black" is no joke, you can actualy see some of the parts inside which is so cool and different. She freaked out when she saw that.The screen is HUGE, 17.3 inches is way bigger than I expected and she says the 144Hz is super smooth for her games. She installed a few already and told me it runs perfect with no lag. The RTX 5060 and the Core 7 processor must be doing the work. The 1TB SSD is also a big deal cause shes always running out of space.I'm just so happy she likes it this much. It starts up real fast and she loves the keyboard. Honestly a great laptop, I'm kinda jealous lol. If your looking for a gift for a gamer, this one is a big win.
