This laptop includes several AI-powered features: Recall for retrieving past PC activity, Windows Studio Effects for enhancing video calls, real-time translation for subtitles in 44 languages, and Cocreator for generating art from prompts. However, the Recall feature requires a free Windows Update that will be available starting late 2024, and some other features may have market or language availability limitations.

Based on Microsoft's pre-release testing using Cinebench 2024 Multi-threaded, this configuration with the Snapdragon X Plus processor delivered faster performance than a MacBook Air with an Apple M3 chip. The 10-core processor is also designed with a fast Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI applications.

The laptop comes with a 39W Surface power supply. To use the fast charging feature (which can charge from 5% to 80%), you will need to purchase a separate, minimum 65W Surface power supply or a compatible USB-C PD charger.

The laptop's enclosure (excluding the power supply) contains a minimum of 25% recycled content. Specific components, including the A Cover, C Bucket, and D Cover, are made from 100% recycled aluminum alloy, and the magnets contain 100% recycled rare earth metals, as validated by Underwriter Laboratories.

The laptop measures 11.85 x 8.67 x 0.69 inches, weighs 2.96 pounds, and features a 13.8-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2304 x 1536 pixels. It is available in the 'Dune' color for this specific configuration.
