I have received the new device, in replacement of the first one. This time things are worse. When I tried to set it up, the screen went black and never responded to touch or keyboard interaction.I looked for the solution to this problema in you tube and what I saw is that the problem is fairly common. Then I went to the microsoft site to try to get support but it's near to impossible to chat with somebody. I followed the diverse options I could find in the microsoft pages and, pressing and holding the power button, I made a 'forced beginning' many, many times.Every time, the Microsoft logo appeared in the screen, then it seemed like the device was working, and then black again. I found out that pressing the 'volume up' buton + the power button for 20-30 seconds, a language selection page appeared in the screen, but it was stuck, never allowing any interaction. After a while, the screen goes black again.This purchase has been the most frustrating I've made in years. I had been looking forward to receiving my new device the first time. And then I couldn't use it. After spending a LOT of time and also some money, I could have everything ready to send the device back. After a few days I received a new one (this time in its original box, which was not the case with first one), only to find that neither this time I could use it.

Nice looking thin computer. The problem was that it wouldn't charge. We tried everything suggested by Microsoft and finally decided to just return it it. That was a hassle. Of course, we had removed it from the box to set it up. This is another obstacle to get through. We set up the return to Amazon, they had us repackage computer, print label and take it to UPS Drop off center, which we did. We have the receipt that we dropped it off but now we have to wait until the manufacturer receives this computer and verify that the same serial number is on it that is on the sales receipt. We understand that the manufacturer is trying to prevent someone from returning a different computer. But we ae now at the mercy of the manufacturer to verify this, there is no set date as to when we might receive a refund for this somewhat expensive computer.
