Good but overpriced.
By BRUNO GAZAILLE
Beware display is 16:10 ratio not 16:9. Bought this model as there few laptops nowadays awailable with an extra slot for a second NMVE drive. This laptop is way too expensive for just running Linux as a main driver. Bundleware has issues under Windows 11 and there's no documentation for advanced Bios settings. Had to get better Bios info off a Youtube channel. This was my first LG laptop. LG online support is lacking compared to other brands. I'm somewhat disappointed with this purchase. Last time I'm buying a LG laptop.

Very nice ultra light and thin laptop for browsing and media watching.
By NeonCat117
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this LG ram laptop because it looked pretty cool. I wanted one that was light weight for travel and good for watching movies and browsing the net. In those regards this laptop is wicked. With some minor pet peeves. The laptop is gorgeous. It has a illuminated backlit keyboard. A very big 17 inch screen that plays hd media great. it is so thin and light. I barely notice it in my backpack. It has 2 USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a earphone jack on one side. The other side has 2 reg USB 3.1 ports and a micro SD card reader. It come with Windows 11 home. Setting it up and doing the updates for the first time took around a hour.I really like the screen. Mine has no backlight bleed or any defects. It can stream 1440 and 4k without a hickup in HDR. The screen is nice and vibrant. You can fine tune the colors for whatever media you want with intel Iris software. Which You can download. Strangely it did not come packed with the laptop. The sound is really cool for watching movies with Dolby Atmos. Though they are far and few between , it makes all the difference. It really feels like surround sound speakers in certain movies. For standard audio and non Dolby content they seem to be just mediocre. They do not blast and feel rather flat for music. External speakers may be a good option for at home. The battery is pretty good. Lasts all night and charges ultra fast with the included charger. A hour or two and it is charged from nothing to full.It does come with some bloatware that LG packs with it. I basically deleted it all except the update tool. The camera is not the best. It is pretty grainy in low light. The quality is downright terrible for the camera if you are not in a really bright room. The mic is not the best either. I think for video conferencing, facetimes and zoom calls this will not suffice. You will need a webcam with a real mic.The storage does not seem like enough. It is ultra fast for reading and writing though. 500 gigs goes fast when loading it up with media . As soon as you fire up the pc and do all the windows updates you are left with around 375 gigs before you even ad any programs. I think for the price a 1000 gig nvme ssd would have been better. They are dirt cheap now. That said, you can upgrade the drive. The ram is sufficient. It is fast and does the job. 16 gigs is plenty for a laptop not meant for gaming. Enough to do photo editing , watch hd movies. surf the web. Play some non demanding games. It is ddr4 ram. Sadly you cannot upgrade the ram.It does play games on low and medium setting with the integrated Intel graphics. It has a 13th gen intel I5 in it. Which is quite the beastly 10 core chip. You won't be able to play anything on ultra settings but standard 60 fps 720 or 1080p gaming is possible . I tried a few Halo games. Some Genshin impact and some LFD on it on medium. It worked. You can set the fans to fast to help in the LG software. It is by means a gaming rig but it can cure your itch for the odd game.I love the laptop and my only complaints are the lack of storage, The poor camera and mic.All in all I think it is a pretty great laptop. If you are looking for something light weight and ultra thin to surf the web. Do school work, watch movies and light gaming on lower graphic, It is probably one of the best at this price point. It is pretty wicked. Thanks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good So Far!

I heard mixed reviews on this. I took a chance and it's only been 2 weeks, but so far so good. The Alienware software takes about 10 to 20 seconds to load when first opening it. after that 5-10. The back end got flack for being too big. But Who is really carrying around a 16 inch gaming laptop. Keys feel great. RGB is good. Keys are clear and not blinding like most RGB backlits. Design is good imo. feels premium. Cam is decent. Touch pad is smooth. Display is nice, all text is clear and colors are good. I heard many people complaining about the brightness levels. But in a dark room I actually turn the brightness down. And in my home with normal outdoor light coming in, I have no issues with the brightness. 2 usb 2 usb c, this is the only downside. in my opinion. I wish there was one more. I do like there are no cables coming from the sides. All ports in back. Cleaner desk look. will update if I have any issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this laptop!!!

This laptop is a GIANT waste of money. It didn't last for 2 weeks before the system stopped charging itself and shut down. I had to return it without being able to remove my data. I am VERY disappointed with this product and purchase.
