2.0 out of 5 stars Pink Hue along left edge of display
By John Dennis Lally
Received this laptop yesterday, & sadly I just boxed up for return to Amazon, and cancelled the external monitor, additional chargers and usb/RJ45 adapter on order. There's a pink hue that runs along the left side of the display that fades in and out.Spent time with LG tech support and couldn't resolve: reinstalled graphics drivers(Intel & Nvidia), making sure all updates installed etc... all to no avail, so returning.Have needed a light, powerful laptop w/ a lot of desktop space, so very disappointed.I'd likely buy another one if I knew this was a defect in this particular unit and not systemic to the product line, e.g. thermal issue etc.It seems intermittent (fades in & out over time), so not sure how I'd be convinced it was isolated to my particular unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best laptop ever
By D.Z
This is the best laptop I have ever owned. I have had a few of the gram 17s and various other gaming and non gaming laptops, but this is on another level. I experienced none of the issues other reviewers here talked about. I hooked it up to the latest samsung 49" curved screen gaming monitor and played AOE 3 DE in glorious 5100x1440 (or something close to that, whatever the normal ultrawide resolution is). Make sure to use a usb-c display port cord which supports 120hz, some of them are only 60hz. On the plane I used it to watch videos, sometimes hooked it up to my nreal air glasses, which also worked flawlessly using the usb c alt display mode. After nearly two days of international travel, the battery was still at 69%?! I don't know how much I used it but laptops never are at that level after such a trip. The battery on this thing is actually good. Most laptops, the battery is kind of a joke. It might even be practical to use for actually gaming without being plugged in. No other laptop is practical for unplugged gaming. I am guessing this is the BEST unplugged gaming laptop you can buy. (notice I said 'unplugged'.) If you use an external mouse, there is a function key to easily toggle the built in touchpad on or off. The screen quality is insanely good, noticeably better than the 2019 gram I used to have. And, of course it is so light and refined and high quality, all the other laptops look like a joke compared to it. See for yourself, just walk into the computer section of a store and compare. Because of its light weight, I was able to use it in different orientations and positions that wouldn't work on a normal laptop. I don't know how it works on more demanding games, but it seems to work on AOE3 DE. Although I only used the included charger, which has a usb-c end which you stick into either thunderbolt port, I assume it works with usb-c chargers. It really opens up tons of possibilities for me in terms of taking it to the park or nature spots, traveling, etc, where a normal laptop isn't practical. In my entire life, this is the only laptop I would rate a 10/10. Seriously. Even the macbook air, when it came out originally in 2013 or whatever, still wasn't a 10/10- it couldn't play PC games. There is just no other product remotely close to as good as this. GET IT
