4.0 out of 5 stars Solid laptop overall but a few weird design decisions leave it wanting just a bit.
By Bob McIntosh
Overall this laptop is solid. It runs fast, the touch screen is very responsive, it's very light and thin.I only have 2 complaints about it.1. The camera is located at the bottom of the screen making it completely useless. Not only is it now filming up my nose, but if I want to use my laptop at the same time all anyone sees is my fingers typing. In addition, the quality of the video it shoots is very poor. Expect that if you need to do any video you'll have to buy an external camera2. The Home, End, Page up and Page down are not their own keys. You have to either hit function and then use the arrow keys for that, or you have to turn the num lock off (rending it useless as a number pad) and then you can use them there. I used these keys all the time so I have found that very frustrating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased So Far
By dbl
Have had this for about a week now, and so far, this is a great laptop. First, consistent with some of the Questions/Answers on this page, and despite Amazon's product title, mine did come with 16GB of RAM, as I was expecting. This is consistent with LG's website for this model, as well, so I don't think anyone needs to worry about getting only 8GB.Also, in some reviews of other models (last year's?) of the LG Gram, I noticed people complaining about the quality of the keyboard and/or an overall "cheap feel" in terms of the build quality. I have no complaints on either with this model. The material they used for the case (magnesium alloy?) does not feel cheap to me. It does feel very light, which is awesome and is one of the major selling points of this product for me. The keyboard is great, and does not feel like a compromise in quality, to me. The numeric keypad on the right side was another selling point for me. It is smaller than a true "full" numeric keypad, but it's functional and fits this middle niche perfectly for users, like me, who tend to work with spreadsheets or other numeric data entry but want a machine that's ultra-portable, rather than carrying around some 7 to 8 lb boat anchor of a laptop.I would say that the screen, even at the highest brightness setting, is not as bright as my previous (mostly Dell) laptops. This has not been an issue for me, so far, as I tend to drop my screen brightness on most of my machines, to maximize battery life, but perhaps this would be a downside for some, if you tend to use your laptop outdoors, in full sun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Series 2' mean for the Intel Ultra 7 processor in this laptop?
The 'Series 2' designation refers to the specific generation of the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor. This model features an 8-core CPU with a base frequency of 2.2 GHz that can boost up to 4.8 GHz, and it includes a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) rated at 47 TOPS for AI tasks, which enables the Copilot+ PC features.
Is the Intel Arc Graphics in this model a dedicated or integrated GPU?
The product details list the card description as 'Dedicated', but the specifications describe it as 'Integrated Intel Arc Graphics'. This indicates it is an integrated graphics solution that is part of the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor package, not a separate, discrete graphics card.
Why is the manufacturer's box opened before shipping?
The box is opened by the seller to perform upgrades to achieve the advertised 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 4 TB SSD storage, as this configuration may not be the base factory model. The laptop is tested and inspected after these modifications are installed.
What are the exact capabilities of the USB-C ports?
This laptop has two USB 4 Gen 3x2 Type-C ports. Each port supports Power Delivery for charging, DisplayPort for video output, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for high-speed data transfer and connecting external devices.
How does the listed weight of 3.22 pounds compare to the product details stating 3.12 pounds?
There is a slight discrepancy in the provided information. The main description lists the weight as 3.22 pounds, while the product details section lists the item weight as 3.12 pounds. The actual weight is likely within this range, but you should confirm the final shipping weight with the seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good So Far!

I heard mixed reviews on this. I took a chance and it's only been 2 weeks, but so far so good. The Alienware software takes about 10 to 20 seconds to load when first opening it. after that 5-10. The back end got flack for being too big. But Who is really carrying around a 16 inch gaming laptop. Keys feel great. RGB is good. Keys are clear and not blinding like most RGB backlits. Design is good imo. feels premium. Cam is decent. Touch pad is smooth. Display is nice, all text is clear and colors are good. I heard many people complaining about the brightness levels. But in a dark room I actually turn the brightness down. And in my home with normal outdoor light coming in, I have no issues with the brightness. 2 usb 2 usb c, this is the only downside. in my opinion. I wish there was one more. I do like there are no cables coming from the sides. All ports in back. Cleaner desk look. will update if I have any issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this laptop!!!

This laptop is a GIANT waste of money. It didn't last for 2 weeks before the system stopped charging itself and shut down. I had to return it without being able to remove my data. I am VERY disappointed with this product and purchase.
