5.0 out of 5 stars The best ever ultrabook -- must get this one
By Amazon Customer
I have used several kinds of laptops switching every one or two years: Macbook air, Dell XPS 13, ASUSPRO before I purchased LG Gram 2018 model. By far, LG Gram gives the most value for the money, and I am totally satisfied. Most of all, I love its super long battery life. Except Macbook air, Dell and ASUS promoted having 7+ hours battery life which turned out much shorter than a real usage of internet, youtube music, mail client program, MS office programs running. LG Gram truly gives 10 hrs of usage even all of these programs running. What a pleasant surprise. Finally, I can leave a power cord at home and use the computer extensively for a day without recharging. While Mac offers similar battery life, its price per similar specs is way too high and I feel ripped off. In addition to battery, I like all other specs coming with it: bigger screen for the form, convenient function keys, weight, etc. If you look for a portability, long battery usage, reliable performance, Gram seems the best option among those usual ones.

1.0 out of 5 stars I am extremely disappointed by a major flaw in an otherwise good product.
By Neil Osterweil
At first I thought this was the best laptop I have ever owned - lightweight, fast, with good memory and storage and a good display.BUT, a few months after I bought it the screen started flashing on and off. I did not notice this problem immediately because it only occurred when the laptop was not connected to an external monitor. I tried everything I knew -- updated the drivers, checked the settings, looked for software conflicts -- but nothingsolved the problem. When I contacted LG support and told them what I had done, they agreed that it sounded like a hardware problem that would require a factory repair.I sent the computer for a repair under warranty to LG, and it has been more than a month with no action taken on their part. I checked the repair status on their website using the "track repair" feature. The website shows the status as "pending" more than a month after the company received it.I am a journalist and need a reliable laptop for frequent travel. Unfortunately, this computer does not fit the bill.An update: The day after I submitted this review, but before it wad posted, I got a message from LG telling me that the repair was finished and that the computer was being returned to me from a facility in Michigan. Of course, I had shipped it to Alabama, so they then had to ship it to Michigan. Doesn't sound very efficient, does it?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual storage capacity of this specific configuration?
This specific configuration has a 4 TB NVMe Gen4 SSD installed, as listed in both the title and product details. The description mentions 'up to 8TB' as a maximum possible upgrade, but the unit you are viewing comes with 4 TB.
How does the advertised 23.5-hour battery life apply to real-world use?
The 23.5-hour figure is based on a specific video playback test with a 77Wh battery. For general productivity tasks like web browsing and document work, you can expect a full day's use, but actual battery life will vary based on screen brightness, workload, and enabled features like the touchscreen and Wi-Fi.
Does this laptop have a dedicated graphics card for gaming or 3D rendering?
No, this model uses integrated Intel Arc graphics. It is suitable for everyday tasks, media playback, and light creative work, but it is not equipped with a discrete GPU for demanding gaming or professional 3D rendering applications.
What does 'Copilot+ PC' mean for this laptop's functionality?
Copilot+ PC indicates this laptop meets specific Microsoft requirements for AI performance, featuring an Intel Ultra 7 processor with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 47 TOPS. This enables certain Windows 11 AI features to run locally on the device for potentially faster and more private processing, alongside cloud-based AI via Copilot.
Are the RAM specifications 32GB of DDR5 or LPDDR5X, and is it upgradeable?
The specifications state it has 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8533 MHz, which is soldered onto the motherboard (onboard). This means the memory is not user-upgradeable after purchase. The 'DDR5' listed in some sections is a broader categorization.
