The screen is bright and crisp. The thing is ungody light. And the battery lasts all day long, particularly if you reduce the screen brightness a bit.This 17" laptop fits in the 15" carrying satchel I used for my previous 15" laptop. It comes to life very quickly, and the fingerprint reader reacts instantly. I take it out of the house just about every day and the 2.98 lb. weight feels like nothing.It comes with a second SSD slot, so I just plugged in my old SSD from the old laptop into this machine for easy and fast file transfers.It seems like the perfect laptop for someone on the go.

In the beginning, the unit sent to me was a repackaged one with wear showing on the edges. I took this to have it mirrored from my old laptop. After having that done and having several programs installed, the wear was apparent -- and the computer shop did not cause the wear! The vendor would not take it back and credit the $$ for the install costs, so I sucked it up and lived with it. The keyboard of this laptop is poor...crowded keys that have poor tactile characteristics, making typing burdensome. What I also did not realize is that this computer has only a one year warranty....my bad for not noticing, but when the LED screen died, I had a hard time finding out what the warranty was. It was if they were hiding it. Not worth the cost of repairing it so a bad choice. A regretful purchase so I am moving to a Lenovo Thinkpad and learned a $1,000 lesson. The tech shop said these are difficult to repair......if you get a sticky key you may have to replace the whole key mat, not just fix the sticky key. A waste of time and money. What seemed like a good choice became a mess. I say keep shopping and skip this unit.
