Frequently Asked Questions
Is the manufacturer's box sealed when this laptop arrives, given the upgraded specifications?
No, the original manufacturer's seal is opened by the seller to perform the upgrades to the advertised 32GB RAM and 8TB SSD, and to test and inspect the modified configuration before shipping.
What is the practical benefit of the 47 TOPS NPU (Neural Processing Unit) in the Intel Ultra 7 processor?
The 47 TOPS NPU is dedicated hardware that accelerates AI and machine learning tasks directly on the laptop, improving efficiency and performance for Copilot+ PC features, AI-assisted applications, and video call enhancements without relying solely on the main CPU or GPU.
How does the 8TB SSD storage capacity compare to standard configurations, and what type of SSD is it?
The 8TB NVMe SSD is a significant upgrade from typical laptop storage (often 512GB-2TB). It uses the fast NVMe interface, providing ample space for large media libraries, professional software suites, and extensive project files without needing external drives.
Can this laptop drive a 5K external monitor, and which ports support it?
Yes, it can drive a 5K external display via its two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, which support DisplayPort Alt Mode. The HDMI 2.1 port can also be used for high-resolution external displays.
What does 'military-grade durability' specifically mean for this LG Gram 17 model?
The laptop's magnesium-alloy chassis has been tested and meets 7 specific MIL-STD-810H certification standards for durability, which include resistance to shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, and low pressure, despite its lightweight 3.22-pound design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good So Far!
I heard mixed reviews on this. I took a chance and it's only been 2 weeks, but so far so good. The Alienware software takes about 10 to 20 seconds to load when first opening it. after that 5-10. The back end got flack for being too big. But Who is really carrying around a 16 inch gaming laptop. Keys feel great. RGB is good. Keys are clear and not blinding like most RGB backlits. Design is good imo. feels premium. Cam is decent. Touch pad is smooth. Display is nice, all text is clear and colors are good. I heard many people complaining about the brightness levels. But in a dark room I actually turn the brightness down. And in my home with normal outdoor light coming in, I have no issues with the brightness. 2 usb 2 usb c, this is the only downside. in my opinion. I wish there was one more. I do like there are no cables coming from the sides. All ports in back. Cleaner desk look. will update if I have any issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this laptop!!!
This laptop is a GIANT waste of money. It didn't last for 2 weeks before the system stopped charging itself and shut down. I had to return it without being able to remove my data. I am VERY disappointed with this product and purchase.
