5.0 out of 5 stars Holy crap, it's light!!!
By D. Ferrand
I'm super impressed with this laptop so far! Have had it for about 2 months, and it's my daily computer for half of my life since I travel for work. The weight is simply unbelievable. It's almost half the weight of my old MSI (and that was their lightest at about 5.5 lbs). The difference doesn't seem like much, but the way it feels in my backpack it seems like it's *more* than half the weight. Some of that is also the fact that the charging brick is so tiny, and that weight difference is even more extreme compared with my old laptop. The screen is great! My old computer was 1080 horizontal, and the increase in screen real estate going up to 1440 is huge. Very bright screen, and smooooooth with the 144 hz refresh rate!So far battery life is good...about what I expected from reading other reviews before buying. With general computing and video watching, will get 4-5 hrs and still not be running on empty. I'm not much of a gamer, so can't comment on juice life for that.My biggest beef is that the "2 TB drive" is split into two 1 TB drives...and for some reason I've not been able to get them merged into a single virtual drive. I may eventually clone the main drive to a larger drive and replace both of the stock drives. There's also a bit of LG bloatware but not a super big deal to uninstall.Ultimately, I would buy this laptop again in a second!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing laptop! Great deal
By Amazon Customer
I have owned a lot of laptops over the years. I had a 14 inch last that i really liked but the screen was too small for regular usage anymore so I really wanted to get bigger one with higher resolution. I have been looking for quite some time when I saw a 16 inch LG Gram at costco. I took down the info and went home and did some research on it. Then I found this 17 inch model with more ram and disk space so went with it. It is the lightest laptop I have ever owned by far. The screen is incredibly crisp, not 4K but can't tell the difference for this. Watching movies is amazing. Its not OLED but i have seen other IPS-based ones that are no where as good as this. It is also antiglare which I wanted as last laptop i had was glossy and drove me nuts. Incredibly fast and responsive, has instant wake feature that my Lenovo never could get working right. Great battery life, nice keyboard and trackpad. I got 4 year warranty just in case something happens but i'm definitely sold on these new LG laptops. Highly recommend this laptop, you won't be disapointed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual screen resolution, and does it support variable refresh rate?
The display has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA) as per the detailed description, not the 1440p listed in some specs. It is an IPS panel with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, which helps reduce screen tearing during gaming or fast motion.
How is the 2TB of storage configured, and can it be upgraded?
The storage is configured as two separate 1TB SSD modules (2 x 1TB), not a single drive. The product details confirm it uses a Solid State interface, but specific upgradeability for these dual modules is not stated in the provided specifications.
Is the graphics card memory 4GB or is there a discrepancy in the specs?
The NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU has 4GB of dedicated video RAM, as stated in the title and bullet points. The 'graphics_card_ram_size' field in the product details incorrectly lists '2 TB', which is a data error; it should reference the system storage, not the GPU memory.
What does the MIL-STD-810H durability rating mean for daily use?
This military-grade standard indicates the laptop passed seven specific durability tests for factors like vibration and extreme temperatures. It suggests enhanced physical resilience for travel and varied environments, though it does not guarantee protection against all damage.
What are the specific benefits of the Intel Evo platform and 13th Gen i7-1360P processor in this model?
The Intel Evo certification for the 13th Gen Core i7-1360P processor ensures standards for instant wake, fast connectivity, and real-world battery life. Combined with 32GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM (6000 MHz), it's engineered for responsive multitasking and performance in thin, lightweight designs like this 3.2-pound laptop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for everyday use and casual gaming

As someone who enjoys gaming and often juggles multiple tasks, this laptop has been a great fit for my needs. The large Full screen really stands out. it makes watching videos and playing games feel immersive and smooth. Also, impressed with how quickly it starts up and handles apps, even when switching between assignments, streaming, and casual web browsing. It’s been a reliable companion so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, run smooth and looks cool!

I've been daily using it and I'm loving it. This laptop handles everything smooth without any lag even with multiple apps and multiple tabs open. I regularly have 20+ chrome tabs open along with other apps like teams, slack, Illustrator, etc and it just keeps running smooth. The design looks slick, nice and thin with metal finish. To be honest it feels way more expensive than it is.Battery lasts me through most of the workday, its decent, around 5~6 hours working without charging.Overall its a great pick if you don't want to spend too much and need a powerful laptop.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many useless programs

Constant overheating constant notifications that it runs a different resolution 4 different audio software's pre installed 3 different graphics driver pre installed I don't know what the makers were thinking but I know for a fact I'm never buying Alienware againalso I've had it for less than a year and keys are already starting to fail
