So far this laptop has performed just as I had hoped, but I have one complaint. The keyboard is poorly designed. The top two rows (function keys and number keys) are printed unlike any other keyboard I have had with the shift value to the right of the non-shift value instead of being printed above it on each key. Further more the power button is like another key located at the top right corner above the number pad where many other keyboards have a delete key. It takes a while to get used to this.Also, be aware that the 2 tb storage is actually on two separate SSD cards that are mapped to Drive C and Drive D respectively. This means that if you have over 1 tb of files, you had better set it up by splitting the folder scheme with some folders on Drive C and others on Drive B. I started loading all my photos to C:pictures before I realized that I was filling up the drive and had to move them all to D:pictures.

The laptop replaces my 10-year-old HP8570 laptop, which was really heavy to haul around. I went from 3rd generation i5 processor to 12th generation i7 so it seems really fast to me. I normally use it tethered, so I can't speak to the battery life though on the basis of reviews I would expect better than ten hours. I can't rate it for gaming but I can say that for serious PC gaming I recommend a desktop PC instead of a laptop.i installed Linux Mint 21.2 on this PC without a problem except that dual boot with Windows was not workable because the first time I ran Windows it would somehow modify the boot process. Instead of the grub boot menu showing up, the PC then booted straight to Windows. Since I really don't use Windows any more, I just blew everything away with gparted and reinstalled. Now I have two different versions of Linux on the system and all is well. This makes good use of the two 1 TB drives on this PC.
