3.0 out of 5 stars Good enough ~
By GWA1225
I bought this after my (only 3-year-old) Dell 15” 3-way laptop imploded with disastrous data losses. But that’s another story. And you don’t wanna get me started.I bought the LG Gram 16Z90Q laptop because my blushing bride of 51 years standing got herself the 17” version a couple years back and really likes it. When I told the shop that did the autopsy on my Dell that I’d ordered this new Gram the owner said β€œOh . . .” When I volunteered that I’d bought the optional 48-month warranty, he immediately brightened and said, β€œThat’s good!” Hmmmm. So, first my gripes. It’s not a touchscreen; didn’t realize how much I’d miss that. And that’s because the cursor on the screen is constantly camouflaged by everything else; it’s like a ghost cursor unless it’s on a black background. I need to call tech support to see if there’s some way to put a BatSuit or something on it to make the cursor show up.Some of the symbols on the keys are a bit difficult to see ($, for example). I had to learn that shifting functions in the F row requires pushing the Fn key instead of the Shift key. Sometimes if I strike a key too hard while pecking out my hunted letter key, it will print HHHHH instead of just the intended H.Enough grousing. Hey, I’m a Baby Boomer; I’m entitled. Now, the good: sturdy, lithe and light for its size. 1Tb SSD. Sharp screen. Responsive touchpad. Impressive battery life. Good audio quality with a surprising soundstage. Stays cool, no fan noise. So, it’s a mixed bag. Not sure I’d buy it again but IIRC there was no touch-screen in the 16-inchers.And I like it enough that I’ll just accentuate the positives and accommodate the rest.Addendum: I did find the way to make the cursor a big honker. Yay!

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything that I expected from this 16Z90Q, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD...
By Todd
I had been researching laptops to replace my well-served laptop for a few years now. My main requirements were being very lightweight, having one of the newest processors, and over 300 NITS from the screen to do my photography post-processing when I travel. The LG Gram has always been on my radar but the price was prohibitive until this went on sale @ a 45% discount from list.Long story short, I couldn't be happier pulling the trigger on this unit. You will not be disappointed. There's hardly any bloatware (well done LG!) and the battery life is exactly as expected (VERY long, but not to published spec in real life, but close.Personal notes: 1) I highly recommend buying a good skin made for this laptop as the finish is extremely prone to fingerprints and may feel too 'slippery' for such a light and expensive unit to replace. 2) The keys take a little getting used to (a little too flat) and I wished it had a fingerprint reader instead of relying on the Windows Hello system. 3) While I do not NEED more than 16Gb RAM, I wish it had more as it is not upgradeable (soldered to board). 4) There does exist some screen flex, but don't be alarmed; just know that it's made of a magnesium alloy for weight but you should still be careful. 5) Speakers shoot downward from the base and aren't anything to boast about but I wasn't looking for a boom-box.All told, I highly recommend this 2022-version16Z90Q laptop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for everyday use and casual gaming

As someone who enjoys gaming and often juggles multiple tasks, this laptop has been a great fit for my needs. The large Full screen really stands out. it makes watching videos and playing games feel immersive and smooth. Also, impressed with how quickly it starts up and handles apps, even when switching between assignments, streaming, and casual web browsing. It’s been a reliable companion so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, run smooth and looks cool!

I've been daily using it and I'm loving it. This laptop handles everything smooth without any lag even with multiple apps and multiple tabs open. I regularly have 20+ chrome tabs open along with other apps like teams, slack, Illustrator, etc and it just keeps running smooth. The design looks slick, nice and thin with metal finish. To be honest it feels way more expensive than it is.Battery lasts me through most of the workday, its decent, around 5~6 hours working without charging.Overall its a great pick if you don't want to spend too much and need a powerful laptop.
