5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the most powerful 2-in-1 on the market
By Woeful Zeus
I am an IT professional and manage laptop / desktop deployments where I work. After extensive research within the market of fold-able 2-in-1 laptops, I found this gem of a machine.I purchased this for one of my power users.Battery life is excellent.weight is perfect considering it is a 16" chassis.screen is really pleasant to work from and is easy on the eyes. The Ryzen 8840hs is a fantastic CPU for this use case and has 0 issues handling heavy workloads. The RAM is Soldered which is a disadvantage for future upgrades BUT, Lenovo put 16GB of LPDDR5X-6400MHz which is literally the fastest RAM on the market (at time of writing this review) for this chip set. This machine also has support for USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (DP 1.4a, PD 3.0) on 2 ports which allows you to charge the device, run ultra high def video, and USB pass-through all on the same cable.I LOVE the on board 780M graphics, the end user needed to have a highly mobile device that could also pull up or manipulate 3D CAD type images and this machine handles them with ease. Also, just about ALL the major CAD, CAM and 3D imaging software companies support Lenovo so you shouldn't have issues with getting support for your software if considering this laptop.I set this user up with a Dell U3425WE screen which has a built in docking station that also supports charge through USB-C.The end user only has to plug or unplug 1 cable to fully dock / undock his laptop yet still have multiple USB devices supported through his screen ports, Ultra high def curved Display Port screen AND keep his laptop fully charged.I can't stress the coolness factor of the de-clutter effect of having 1 port to rule them all this laptop supports. His desk is quickly becoming the envy of all his co-workers.Lenovo out did themselves with this laptop, I hope they keep it up and don't mess this up in future products.I Lastly want to say, I was a Lenovo HATER before finding this device but since it was the only device that could fully meet this user's needs, I had to buy it and VERY glad we did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sound and Display!
By Oregon Nikon User
This blows my Surface Go 2 off the map. One feature is when you fold the screen over as a touch tablet the keyboard is shut off, open back up, as laptop, keyboard back on. 2K display, Woofers X2 and Tweeters X2. Also has a Micro SD slot, easy phone transfer files and photos. With 2 TB SSD, storage is no problem. You can't go wrong!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the RAM upgradeable on this laptop?
No, the 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM is soldered onto the motherboard. The specifications list it as 'Onboard ONLY', meaning it cannot be removed or upgraded after purchase.
What is the resolution and aspect ratio of the touchscreen?
The 16-inch touchscreen has a WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This provides a taller screen than standard 16:9 displays, which is useful for productivity tasks.
Will the laptop arrive in a sealed, factory box?
No. The seller opens the original factory box to install the advertised upgrades (the 1TB SSD and potentially the RAM). The box is then professionally resealed. This is explicitly stated to achieve the specifications as advertised.
What ports are available for connecting peripherals?
It includes 1 USB 3.2 Type-A port, 2 USB 3.2 Type-C ports (one used for the 65W power adapter), an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.
What is included in the box with the laptop?
The package contains the Lenovo Yoga 7 laptop, a user guide, a USB-C power adapter (65W), a stylus pen (referred to as 'Cuertns Stylus'), and the charger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Runs my Sims perfectly!

This computer is amazing. Definitely worth it. This is the first real gaming laptop I’ve had and it makes a huge difference. Zero lag on my sims and I have almost all the add ons. I played the sims for like 3 hours straight and it barely got warm. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gaming laptop

Excellent laptop. Runs much quieter and cooler then my Helios. Very fast. Works well for what I use it for mainly World of Warcraft but handles other games quite well. Very pleased with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's good, but it could be better

I've been using this computer for a while now, it works very well, but there are times when it stutters, the FPS drops to 0, which usually takes less than 1 second, but it's still very annoying. The screen's 165Hz refresh rate is spectacular, but I did an online test and I'm almost certain it has ghosting, which is also quite annoying. Also it's a bit slow when performing various tasks, such as opening the browser or simply changing categories on Steam.I'm going to add more RAM since the 8GB it has doesn't seem enough to me; I even think that might be the root of the problem I mentioned. So, I'll try to upgrade to 32GB of RAM.But despite all of the above, it's still a very good computer. I like that it comes with the Nitro Sense application and also with Intel's graphics software, since it allows for some customization. The camera looks good and works smoothly in good lighting, but the computer doesn't have anything to cover the camera. You have 3 fan options: silent, balanced, and performance. Expect a lot of noise from the fan in performance mode. Also, another bad thing is that when I connected my headphones with a built-in microphone, the computer only recognized it as audio output, not as both audio input and output, so I had a lot of problems with that. I even had to restart my PC in safe mode to reset everything because I had no sound anymore, so be careful with that, If you experience the same issue, simply open the Realtek Audio Console application, then go to advanced device settings and program it as an input and output. So I think it's a very good computer. You have to do a couple of things beforehand to be ready to use it for gaming or anything like that, but I don't think I'll be changing it for a long time. Just add more RAM and you'll probably be good to go. I'll update this review when I add more RAM to let you know if there are any changes to the stuttering. So my final thoughts on this laptop are that I wish it were more of a turn-on, ready-to-use thing, but I guess you can't expect that at this price. Despite that, I give it 5 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Best deal on a gaming laptop

Performance: This thing eases through all the games you practically throw at it UNLESS you want highest quality on the LATEST AAA game. You also get frame generation with the nice gpu inside there(4050).Quality, Speed, Brightness: The quality of a laptop at this price point is not something you find everyday, I also love the glossy look on the front panel. The brightness is really really high so no issues here. The speed , well you really need to upgrade this thing to 16gb for 100% usage. It’s absolutely worth it to do it yourself, you will feel incredible for the amount of money you save. Just buy another DDR5 8gb 5200MHZ and install it and you are set for everything really.Issues: Not so much of big issues, just new computer stuff like Driver issues where a usb might bug or something similar. Just update the laptop as soon as you get it.Battery: battery on a gaming laptop has never been good so always carry your charger. All in all, good investment for your gaming hobbies. Just install your ram and carry your charger when moving.
