5.0 out of 5 stars 5⭐️ for what it is and is not
By ZERO7677
Ok, so I got this as a portable option when I can’t or just don’t feel like using my PC. For the price the CPU (i5) and GPU (Nvidia 3050) is a pretty good combination for playing most games. I tested it using Cyberpunk 2077 which is known for eating up resources and it plays well on medium settings and does admirably on high settings with some lag in high graphically demanding areas with the occasional random lag. Playing less demanding games like Fallout 4 I have encountered no issues. The screen is decent for the price. If I had a complaint it would be I wish it was a bit brighter but for the price that is something I can easily overlook as an issue but put it out there in case it is something important to anyone reading this. The colors are pretty good…better than expected at this price point. For daily computing (web surfing, email, watching videos, and work/school) I won’t waste much time other than to say…nothing to worry about there and I would highly recommend this machine to students or professionals that want something that can handle gaming, basic use, and work/school use on a budget. Works well with wired/wireless controllers as well as other peripherals and again (for the price point) there are a generous amount of places to connect. Physically this laptop doesn’t look like some other brands that were clearly designed for gaming. I personally like that. I’m in my forties and don’t particularly love most of the gaming laptop designs especially when using it in a professional or academic environment. The build is primarily plastic but it doesn’t feel thin or cheap by any means (was expecting it too at this price). That being said, if you are taking this on the go it might be wise to pick up a carrying case with some padding to avoid damage if dropped, bumped, banged, etc. The battery life is OK. (Tip: Battery can be upgraded with an 80v Lenovo Legion battery) and you can add RAM pretty easily. I would recommend doing a bit of research if you are new to poking around inside of devices but as someone who is tech savvy and has a degree in cybersecurity and networking, I would say this is a pretty easy device to swap out components as far as that goes. Another nice feature is being able to physically block the web cam and the slider bar that does this is very discrete (nice little design touch). The weight of the device isn’t too bad and definitely much lighter than most gaming laptops I have used in the past. The cooling is pretty solid but like any laptop it can warm up under high demand usage but so far nothing concerning and I have not yet had to use a cooling pad out of concern (I do use them as a standard practice though). So in summation for an entry level gaming device, a multipurpose device (gaming/school/work) with a modern but classic look that is well built (physically) and has pretty solid hardware I would feel comfortable recommending this device. Great buy and would be a good buy for college students, professionals, parents who want to buy a multi purpose device for kids/ young adults.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great computer! Speedy and sleek

This laptop is quick to set up and use, and it works seamlessly without lagging on games or apps that use lots of memory such as the Harry Potter game I play from steam. I am really satisfied with this purchase even though I was hesitant at first to buy a “no name brand” laptop

1.0 out of 5 stars Most likely came with malware

It worked decent for a little bit, its a low end laptop that will run basic games at minimum settings, however something is wrong with windows because it fully died within 2 weeks. Likely due to malware that came with the laptop and it wont go past bios now. First and last time buying a no name electronic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review is for 18..5 inch model; not 15.7; good value for 18.5 model

I purchased two 18.5 inch model AX18, and it looks like my review is tied to a 15.6 inch model instead, as though perhaps I purchased two at a lower price point than intended? The value was outstanding for $400..00. My review is for the 18.5 inch model which is 11 x 17 by about 1 inches in total size. The huge trackpad gets in the way a bit, but it does work and is sensitive. It can be disabled. The very large screen is beautiful and true to color, and great for movies, albeit with weak and tinny speakers. The camera is really grainy, you will use your Logitec one that is much better in low light. The case is kind of twisty plastic, and keyboard has a kind of flimsy feel to it. However, it functions just fine.It is really quite fast. I am playing around with typical office apps, big spreadsheets and so far looks great. I will eventually attempt image and video editing. hoping this keeps up. A slightly rickety, fast, wonderful display old fashioned computer. I do find myself absently touching the screen as I’ve been so “touch screen” for the past few months, and no this is not a touch screen laptop. The power supply and plug are annoyingly “non standard”. 19V 2.1a output, the sorta cheapie 57 inch power cord and odd connector are a bit worrisome.
