1.0 out of 5 stars received bad charger and laptop with bad charger port. As well as defects on the display
By Nicholas Cooley
I received the laptop and was very exited to unbox it and use it. Turned it on and the battery was at half. about 10 minutes later i got a low battery message (makes me think the battery might be bad too) So i tried to plug it in and nothing happend. No indicatiors no nothing. So i checked the charger with a multimeter... NOTHING. okay so then i tried another working charger only to find it also does not work so the charging port on my laptop is bad too. As well as a light spot in the center of the screen. Thanks seller i love the new paperweight i spent $230 on

5.0 out of 5 stars Great deal for the price
By Geebs_in_NM
Just received this in the mail and got it up and running (if anything changes later, I will update this review). Shipping was pretty fast, which I appreciate. After getting this all set up, I am very pleased with the purchase. My needs are just for basic office functions and a few online board games via Steam, but I wanted something at least comparable to the laptop I bought in 2019. This easily fits the bill, and at a very decent price.FYI: Out of the box, Windows installed without a hitch and everything seemed to update on its own, but then I had issues with the graphics lagging at times and causing my (relatively basic) games to freeze and crash. However, this turned out to be a simple matter of manually updating the driver after all the other, automatic updates were installed, and took all of 2 minutes to fix. Now everything seems to work fabulously!

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
