Defective: neither internal nor removable battery will charge. Also SEVERE coil whine!

Would be a nice computer if it worked, but the unit I received was defective: neither the internal nor the removable battery would charge (after leaving the computer plugged-in overnight with the AC power adapter plugged in, the computer wouldn't even turn on with the AC power adaptor unplugged.Also, this computer has the worst coil whine I've ever heard in over 20 years of using laptops.
