4.0 out of 5 stars Very great value
By Diego Garcia
I am thrilled with my Lenovo IdeaPad 3, especially considering its purpose as my learning companion for coding! This laptop has been an absolute gem, delivering reliable performance without any slowdowns or glitches. One of the standout features for me is the size of the screen, which provides ample real estate for coding projects while still maintaining portability. The touchscreen functionality adds an extra layer of convenience, making navigation and interaction a breeze.Typing on the keyboard feels incredibly comfortable, enhancing my overall coding experience. It's a small detail, but it makes a significant difference during long coding sessions. While I have nothing but praise for this laptop, the only downside I've encountered is its battery life. As someone who uses the computer extensively throughout the day, I find myself tethered to the power outlet to avoid running out of juice after 2-3 hours. However, given the stellar performance and affordability of this laptop, I'm more than willing to overlook this minor inconvenience.Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 has exceeded my expectations and proven to be one of my best investments. If you're in the market for a reliable and budget-friendly laptop for coding or general use, look no further than this powerhouse!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best laptop I’ve ever had!
By DG
I have never heard of the Lenovo brand before purchasing this laptop. I work remotely, but still go into the office at least once a week, so I needed something I could carry around. My last HP laptop started slowing down after 2 years. My husband bought me this as a replacement and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good it was! It’s super fast and still going strong after 3 years (bought in 2022, now 2025…time flies). I have been using laptops for over 20 years and let me tell you, this ain’t your dad’s bulky laptop from the Y2K era. Even though the screen is quite big (how I like it), the body is thin when closed and it doesn’t feel bulky at all. It fits perfectly in my backpack without taking up a lot of space. The keyboard feels good when I’m typing and makes that nice clickety clack sound. The touchscreen has been very useful during my business meetings and I love the gold color, which makes it look expensive, even though it was on the “cheaper” side. The battery life is pretty good. I get maybe 4-5 hours unplugged after fully charging. That’s more than enough for me because I always have my charger with me anyway. This is just a very rough estimate. You’d think the “brand names” will give you a good quality laptop, but I have been very disappointed in some of them because they just don’t last very long. I will only buy Lenovo from now on. In fact, we bought 2 more Lenovos for our business because we know how good it is. I know this will start slowing down eventually as all computers do, but I will be purchasing another one when that happens. I’m hoping to get at least another year or 2 out of this one. I’ll update my review when it’s time for a replacement.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
