5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, nice ergonomics, does the job.
By Thomas Altfather Good
This little beast boots quickly and has enough horsepower to get the job done. It's not for gamers but it's sleek with good ergonomics and a good video card - plenty good enough for most users. With a small eMMC boot drive (fused to the motherboard), and a 1T SSD, it has enough juice to start fast and lots of storage capacity. I'm a programmer so I scrubbed Windows and installed Xubuntu Linux. Super easy install and the machine is impressive. I'm running two webservers (Perl on Apache and Python Flask on Apache) both accessing a Postgres database and the machine is easily up to the task. F12 on boot gets you to the boot menu and F2 gets you to the BIOS. Straightforward laptop and a joy to use. Five stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lenovo
By Vic
This is a good laptop for students especially for the price. When it comes the web surfing the speed is nice and it still functions properly with multiple tabs open. The battery last about 5 hrs fully charged. It has excellent storage space. In order to download apps outside of the Microsoft store you do have to turn off S mode. The screen quality is nice for the price the sound is decent I have watched YouTube videos on here and the sound was pretty good. I haven't experienced any issues and im on week 2 of owning it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual physical storage capacity on this laptop?
The laptop has 128GB of internal eMMC storage. The 1.125TB figure in the title includes 1TB of cloud storage (a separate online service) plus the 128GB local drive.
Can the USB-C port be used to connect an external monitor or for charging?
No. According to the specifications, the USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port is for data transfer only. It does not support video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) or power delivery for charging the laptop.
How does the Intel Celeron N4500 processor perform for everyday tasks?
The Intel Celeron N4500 is a dual-core, dual-thread processor with a base speed of 1.1 GHz and a boost up to 2.8 GHz. It is designed for basic computing tasks like web browsing, document editing, and video streaming, but may struggle with demanding applications or heavy multitasking.
What type of display does this laptop have, and how bright is it?
It has a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS-level anti-glare display with a brightness of 250 nits. This provides wide viewing angles and reduces reflections, though the brightness is on the lower end for use in very bright environments.
Is the RAM user-upgradable, and what is the maximum supported?
The marketing copy states the system supports 'up to 36GB DDR4 RAM,' suggesting the 8GB installed is not the maximum. However, the 8GB is likely soldered or in a single slot, and achieving 36GB would require replacing or adding a compatible memory module, assuming a slot is available.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
