I bought the laptop just before moving to Kenya. The device served me well with little to no issues at all. The fan however got noisy even when running light programs. However, about 4 weeks ago the screen blacked out. This was despite lack of any mechanical damages. I took it to the Lenovo Service Centre in Nairobi and they told me that it needs a motherboard replacement. The invoice came at a staggering 75,400 Kenyan Shilling which translates to approximately US $700+ (almost equivalent of buying another unit). Lenovo is also claiming that the model is meant for North America and therefore the warranty cover doesn't apply in Africa. I'm now left with three options: Fly back to America ($1500+), Pay from my pocket or just let the laptop die in peace. I'm currently researching to see if the problem is consistent with the model

I would not recommend buying this product. It does not work properly. I have not been able to get camera or microphone working for any of my classes. Also, the mouse will sometimes not work and you have to restart it constantly. The battery life is very poor and I have to charge it every couple of hours. I do not recommend buying this product and wish I never had.
