5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome tablet!
By bookaphile
I loved this Lenovo P11 Plus tablet the first time I saw it on Friday at a decent price of $260 It vas working great at home, I moved a bunch of apps and filers and things were going well until... the battery ran out and now I was stuck with a tablet I can't use.I have tried a couple things that were suggested but nothing has wirked so far I did have some maitenance issues, mainly that I couldn't get the tablet to charge . I found a geek group who had all kinds of suggestions. I decided a reset was in order. I used to do them on my old Nook wuth some sussess. it took a couple hours before i saw the battery but I did it. The battery is now fully charged. Happy dance! and I didn't love anything but passwords. For those who are having the same problems, try somee of the easier steps furst because ahard reset in risky and you have to inow what you are doing.Yeh Geeks!

4.0 out of 5 stars Needs Android 12 Update
By ljam
This tablet ships with Android 11, no security updates since March 2022, and no updates available. With that, it just doesn't function very well. Besides the security risk, many apps won't display in landscape, and there are just functions missing. Lenovo apparently released the Android 12 update in 2022, but it bootlooped for a lot of people, so they pulled it. I contacted Lenovo, who told me to contact Google, who of course has nothing to do with the problem. I asked Lenovo to escalate my issue and got a call back from someone who knew a little more but only said they would eventually re-release the Android 12 update. I also filed an online tech support ticket. Surprise, a few days later, I got the Android 12 update with the current security update. Now the tablet works great, the screen is bright and sharp, and everything is completely functional, though Lenovo's website says they'll provide security updates only through Nov 2023. Now the main issue for me is that, with the case, it weighs a full half pound more than the iPad with keyboard case. It's heavy enough that I sometimes just use my phone instead of dragging out the heavy tablet. Also, I find the keyboard difficult to touch type on and the touch pad just gets in my way, though I do like the adjustable stand on the back that works well on a variety of surafaces. There is a productivity setting that makes the tablet work and look like a laptop, which I don't need. So if you can get the Android 12 update, you don't mind the weight, and especially if you're looking for a work tablet, it's perfect. For more of a toy, I think I'll probably go back to the iPad.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual battery life I can expect for general use?
Battery life varies by task: Lenovo's MobileMark 18 test shows up to 6 hours for productivity, while video playback can last up to 10 hours. The 45Wh battery supports rapid charging.
Does this laptop have a fingerprint reader for login?
No, this specific configuration does not include a fingerprint reader. The listed security features are a 720p webcam with a physical privacy shutter and Windows 11 Home security.
What does 'Lifetime Office 365 for The Web' include?
It provides lifetime access to the online, browser-based versions of Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) via a Microsoft account. This does not include the downloadable, full-featured desktop version of Microsoft 365.
Can I expand the RAM or storage on this laptop?
The specifications list 12GB of soldered DDR4 RAM, which is not user-upgradable. Storage is a single 512GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 SSD; while it may be replaceable, the 'Dual Storage' marketing refers to the SSD's performance, not a second physical drive bay.
What are the exact USB ports and their capabilities?
It has one USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port that supports data, video output, and charging; two USB-A ports (one 3.2 Gen 1 for high-speed data and one 2.0 for peripherals); an HDMI 1.4b port; and a full-size SD card reader.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
