5.0 out of 5 stars Built Like a Sleeper, Runs Like a Beast
By PiggyPink
The media could not be loaded. Yo, don’t let this clean, space grey shell fool you—it’s got some fire under the hood. I cracked this thing open straight out the box and was met with a buttery-smooth setup. The 12th-gen Intel i5-12450H? That chip don’t play. Multitasking is a joke to this machine—I had Chrome tabs battling Spotify, Photoshop, and Zoom, and it didn’t even flinch. The fans stay hush-hush too, so no jet engine vibes when you’re just trying to work or stream.Battery life on this thing is straight-up disrespectful—in a good way. I unplugged it at 8 a.m., did emails, video calls, and even a little Netflix during lunch, and it was still pushing by the evening. The 62.7Wh battery is no slouch. Plus, the lightweight feel makes it perfect for tossing in my backpack. Whether I’m chillin’ at a café or couch-hopping around the house, I ain’t scrambling for a charger.Whoever designed the port setup knew what they were doing—USB 3.2, HDMI, Type-C, headphone jack, even a micro TF slot. It’s like they handed me a buffet of options. And that display? Real estate for days. The thin bezels give it that high-end look, and the 1080p IPS panel is crisp enough to make spreadsheets feel like an art form. I even hooked it up to my 4K monitor and it didn’t blink.I peeped the benchmark they threw in with that Intel chip lineup—yo, this i5-12450H smoked some older i7s and even took a jab at Ryzen 5. Real-world use backs it up. Whether I’m editing content or running code, the system’s quick to respond and rarely hiccups. Add in that 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD combo, and I’m flying through tasks like I got cheat codes on.This ain’t just a budget banger, it’s a sleeper build in disguise. Perfect for folks who need performance but don’t wanna flex a glowing RGB brick. Quiet power, smart design, and no nonsense—exactly how I like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great feature set at a great price!
By Eldon
This laptop is a great deal! Featuring a 12th gen Intel i5 CPU/APU, this laptop has more than enough power for general purpose work and also does a great job at light gaming as well.I bought this as a new laptop for my highschool age so and he loves it. The battery lasts him all day and it is very responsive. The casing is not metal, but does not feel like cheap plastic either. The only thing that I wish it would have come with was Windows 11 pro, instead of home, but that's just a personal preference and utilization thing. The display itself is huge for a laptop and also bright. It really is a joy to work with. When it comes to ports there's plenty of expandability and one thing I will note is that the USB-C Port does facilitate charging as well, if you happen to have a charger you can use with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
