4.0 out of 5 stars This laptop drains to 50% of its power in 2 - 21/2 hours!
By Debra Horton
I work from home for myself. I also do small projects for private clients and my local church. I've always purchased HP laptops and (2) desktops in the past 20 yrs. Disappointed with the purchase out of the box. It had double the RAM and 1 TB of storage. Twice my previous buys ~~~ However, didn't perform nearly as well. The two previous buys had touch-screen, fingerprint security, and backlight keyboard. This model has a few more dings & whistles in features ... However, the other issue I experienced was inconsistent response on the Touchpad. Sometimes you would need to touch or adjust your pointed fingers numerous times before it would respond or just touch the screen ~~~ just to move forward. All other functions were fine. ??? Build quality and $$$ value??? I also contacted HP/Support via telephone and onscreen support to double-check with me & view/experience the challenges I was facing. I inquired to HP for recommendations. Their suggestion was to exchange or get a different computer. Thanks ~

1.0 out of 5 stars Issues with modified components
By Stanley
I purchased this laptop in February 2025. At first it worked fine, but within a few weeks I noticed problems: the Windows Start menu, Search bar, and Microsoft Store stopped responding. After looking into the issue, I discovered that the laptop’s internal components had been replaced with parts that don’t fully match the original specifications. This may explain the instability I’ve been experiencing.Overall, the system feels unreliable and I’m not satisfied with the purchase. I would recommend checking carefully before buying to ensure the device has the original configuration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great big screen laptop

I have been using this laptop for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. It’s fast, lightweight, and perfect for everyday tasks like browsing, emailing, and working on documents. The screen is clear and bright, and the battery lasts a long time. I also love how quickly it starts up , It’s a great laptop and works well for both work and personal use. Highly recommendWhy did you pick this product vs others?:Because of the big screen , very light wight and fast

4.0 out of 5 stars Review is for 18..5 inch model; not 15.7; good value for 18.5 model

I purchased two 18.5 inch model AX18, and it looks like my review is tied to a 15.6 inch model instead, as though perhaps I purchased two at a lower price point than intended? The value was outstanding for $400..00. My review is for the 18.5 inch model which is 11 x 17 by about 1 inches in total size. The huge trackpad gets in the way a bit, but it does work and is sensitive. It can be disabled. The very large screen is beautiful and true to color, and great for movies, albeit with weak and tinny speakers. The camera is really grainy, you will use your Logitec one that is much better in low light. The case is kind of twisty plastic, and keyboard has a kind of flimsy feel to it. However, it functions just fine.It is really quite fast. I am playing around with typical office apps, big spreadsheets and so far looks great. I will eventually attempt image and video editing. hoping this keeps up. A slightly rickety, fast, wonderful display old fashioned computer. I do find myself absently touching the screen as I’ve been so “touch screen” for the past few months, and no this is not a touch screen laptop. The power supply and plug are annoyingly “non standard”. 19V 2.1a output, the sorta cheapie 57 inch power cord and odd connector are a bit worrisome.
