5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly right for my daily needs, very portable
By jsl123456
I've been using this little HP for a bit now and honestly, for the price point, it's a great deal. The first thing you notice is how lightweight it is - super easy to carry around, perfect for travel, school, or just moving between rooms. The Willow Green color is unique and stylish, definitely stands out from the usual black/gray laptops.Performance-wise, it handles everyday tasks just fine: web browsing, Office apps, streaming, and some light multitasking. The 16GB RAM is nice to have - not blazing fast like higher-end machines, but it helps things run smoother when you have multiple tabs or apps open. Storage is also decent for documents, media, and basic software. A pleasant surprise was finding it comes with a free trial of Office 365, which is handy if you use Word, Excel or outlook. Now, yes - the screen resolution isn't top of the line, but honestly, at this price you can't expect 2K or 4k. For emails, documents, and YouTube, it's perfectly fine. Battery life is average - enough for a few hours of use, but not an all-day machine. And like with most electronics, over time the battery won't hold charge as well, so it's something to keep in mind.Overall, it's not meant to be a powerhouse, but if you're looking for a budget-friendly, ultra-portable laptop that just gets the job done without weighing you down, this is an excellent choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent laptop for Windows 11 and web-based work
By blesshj
This laptop is excellent - fast, smooth, and works well with Windows 11. It’s lightweight and easy to carry when traveling abroad, with a very practical size. I paid $1,100 for my old laptop and used it for nine years, but it ran on an outdated Windows system and had very slow speed. By comparison, this new laptop with the latest chip is much faster despite being less expensive. I don’t need any special programs - just reliable website access for my work -and everything runs well with Windows and Microsoft Edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual storage capacity and configuration?
The laptop has 128GB of internal UFS storage, which is faster than standard eMMC. It also includes a pre-installed 256GB microSD card for expansion, bringing the total advertised storage to 384GB. The internal storage is not upgradeable, but you can swap the included SD card for a larger one.
Can the USB-C port be used to charge the laptop?
No, the USB-C port on this model supports data transfer and DisplayPort 1.2 for video output, but it does not support charging. You must use the included proprietary power adapter to charge the laptop.
What are the exact specifications of the Intel N150 processor?
The Intel Processor N150 is an entry-level chip with 4 cores, a maximum turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz, 6MB of cache, and is built on the Intel 7 architecture. It is designed for basic tasks and efficiency, not for demanding applications or gaming.
Is the advertised 7.5-hour battery life realistic for typical use?
The 7.5-hour rating is an estimate based on specific light-use testing conditions. Real-world battery life will vary significantly based on your screen brightness, applications running (especially the AI Copilot), and Wi-Fi usage. The HP Fast Charge feature can replenish 50% battery in about 45 minutes.
What does it mean that the manufacturer's box is opened for upgrade?
The seller opens the original sealed box to perform the advertised upgrades, specifically installing the 16GB of RAM and the 256GB microSD card. The laptop is then tested to ensure it matches the listed specifications before being shipped. This is a common practice for third-party upgraded configurations.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
