1.0 out of 5 stars Amazing laptop with reliability issues.
By Russell J. Miller
Let me be clear: this review is not due to the seller, who worked with me on the issues that they could solve. This review is solely about the product. Now, for the product. I actually liked it, honestly. The display was large and very bright, performance was decent, it feels very solid. I didnt have too many complaints. Wifi was a bit finicky, the software to control the rgb keyboard was hard to find, and this is actually a 2020 model sold as brand new. This is what ultimately bit me.This laptop is a 2020 model, which I bought in 2025. It is 16g with 1t of storage, but this is advertised as upgradable. Advice: dont.First issue i had was that the power brick that came with the laptop forgot how to power. It didn't provide any voltage at all, something I verified with a multimeter. I ordered another and the seller was kind enough to reimburse me, so far so good. It turns out, though, that this laptop has a battery protection mode that only gets turned off when its first plugged in. So... that actually doesn't work, believe it or not. It turned on anyway, after a while. So I was humming along, getting it set up the way I wanted (including an update to windows 11, which it supports, if barely) and i thought id upgrade to 64g and add another terabyte of storage. The terabyte of storage arrived, I popped off the back (which popped off easily to its credit), disconnected the battery, installed the storage.. and poof. Bricked. Not just bricked, super ultra mega amazing hontouni hontouni mechakucha AMAZINGLY bricked. Like, it looks like the PCH shorted. Which is an amazingly expensive repair. There's no solution to this at all that won't cost a LOT of money. And I can't even find a replacement motherboard.Installing an SSD (i was a good boy and even disconnected the battery) should not cause this kind of damage. So now I have an $1100, chonky and well built, very pretty, paperweight.Because of this, I have no choice but to give it one star. You might have better luck than I did, but if you dont need the admittedly AMAZING screen, get something a little more recent and better supported. You'll thank me later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual graphics card in this laptop? The title and specs list different models.
This laptop is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, as confirmed in the title and bullet points. The 'specs' and 'product_details' sections list a non-Super variant, which is an inconsistency in the provided data, but the primary marketing materials specify the RTX 2070 Super Max-Q.
How accurate are the colors on the display for professional creative work?
The 15.6" 4K Samsung AMOLED display is individually factory-calibrated to a color accuracy of Delta E<1 and is certified by X-Rite Pantone. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which shows approximately 25% more colors than standard sRGB displays, making it suitable for color-critical tasks like photo and video editing.
Can the RAM and storage be upgraded after purchase?
Yes. The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM (2x8GB modules) in dual-channel configuration and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. It has two total NVMe storage slots and, based on the dual-channel RAM configuration, it likely has two accessible RAM slots, allowing for future upgrades.
What networking features help with large file transfers and online work?
It includes a Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet port and a Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 card for combined high-speed wired and wireless connectivity. For physical media, it has a UHS-II SD card reader capable of transfer speeds up to 300 MB/s, which is significantly faster than standard SD readers.
How many external monitors can I connect, and what ports are available?
You can connect up to three external monitors simultaneously using the HDMI 2.0 port, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, and the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port. In total, the laptop has these video outputs plus three USB 3.0 ports, allowing connection for up to nine external devices without an adapter.
