1.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful screen and plenty of power
By Colby Nelson
This thing is awesome, it's amazing how small these powerful laptops have gotten over the last couple years. This Aero 15 doesn't skimp on any features and the battery life is good considering the hardware. I purchased this a a gift for my wife who is a professional photographer, and the calibrated colors on the 4k OLED screen are just phenomenal. Highly recommend this laptop, as it is powerful and compact.Edit:After initial honeymoon period this laptop has caused nothing but problems. 5 months in the drive crashed and went into a boot loop that required a reinstall to fix, and now 11 months in, the display has quit working and the laptop continuously power cycles on and off every 4 seconds with no way to stop it other than waiting for the battery to die. We will see how gigabyte support handles this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value, breathtaking OLED display, poor software
By LJ
I bought this laptop for the sole reason that it was a good gaming laptop under $2K with an OLED screen. I've been patiently waiting for an OLED monitor/Laptop since man, I think 2014 when I first heard of it.I am not at all disappointed. I wish the refresh rate was higher than 60hz but the picture on this panel makes all forgiven. The keyboard is not bad but I'd rate it 7/10 at best. The build quality is solid, and the fingerprint reader is amazing. The screen, 9/10 only because it's not 120hz or higher. The fans out of the box are noisy, I have the 1660ti model and had to turn it to quiet mode to achieve what I thought was normal sound for a gaming laptop.Moving onto the software, the computer does come bloated like all Windows machines with crapware you can get rid of. Now fully programmable RGB is cool but I would've opted out of it to save money. If you delete the keyboard lighting utility shortcut from the desktop I have not found a way to open it back up and have been stuck with my current keyboard profile. You can always turn the keyboard backlight off but that's the only "Are you kidding me" aspect of this laptop. I would still recommend it even if just based on the screen, because my goodness it's gorgeous.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the actual battery life I can expect from this laptop?
Based on the product details, the average battery life is 5 hours. While marketing material references up to 8 hours from PCMark 10 tests, real-world usage typically results in the 5-hour average reported by customers.
How does the display's color accuracy benefit creative work?
The 15.6-inch Samsung AMOLED display is individually factory-calibrated to a Delta E<1 color accuracy and certified by X-Rite Pantone. This means colors displayed are extremely true-to-life, which is critical for professional photo editing, video color grading, and design work where precise color representation is necessary.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage on this model?
Yes. The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM (8GBx2) in dual-channel configuration and a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. It has two total NVMe storage slots, leaving one slot available for an additional SSD. The RAM is also upgradeable, though you would need to replace the existing modules as it uses both slots.
What specific ports are available for connecting external monitors and peripherals?
For video output, you have an HDMI 2.0 port, a Mini-DisplayPort 1.4, and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port, allowing you to connect up to three external monitors simultaneously. Additionally, there are three USB 3.0 ports, a full-size SD card reader (UHS-II), and a Killer Ethernet port for wired networking.
How does the cooling system handle intensive tasks like gaming or 3D rendering?
The laptop uses GIGABYTE's Supra Cool 2 technology, which is stated to provide 30% more cooling efficiency than the previous generation. This is designed to maintain stable CPU and GPU performance during sustained heavy loads, such as gaming sessions or rendering complex 3D models and 4K video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for everyday use and casual gaming

As someone who enjoys gaming and often juggles multiple tasks, this laptop has been a great fit for my needs. The large Full screen really stands out. it makes watching videos and playing games feel immersive and smooth. Also, impressed with how quickly it starts up and handles apps, even when switching between assignments, streaming, and casual web browsing. It’s been a reliable companion so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, run smooth and looks cool!

I've been daily using it and I'm loving it. This laptop handles everything smooth without any lag even with multiple apps and multiple tabs open. I regularly have 20+ chrome tabs open along with other apps like teams, slack, Illustrator, etc and it just keeps running smooth. The design looks slick, nice and thin with metal finish. To be honest it feels way more expensive than it is.Battery lasts me through most of the workday, its decent, around 5~6 hours working without charging.Overall its a great pick if you don't want to spend too much and need a powerful laptop.
