1.0 out of 5 stars Endless problems
By Bradley Barber
Have had numerous serious issues with this laptop since I bought it. Every windows update breaks something else in the software. The Alienware command center app is a RAM hog. Playing WoW with discord open and the Alienware system monitor overlay was using 15 GB of RAM. The "Gaming mode" button that turns on turbo performance is also reportedly responsible for frying people's CPUs. I think mine is a victim of that as well. The PC overheats without the turbo mode on because the fans hardly work in normal performance mode. Mine likes to shut off randomly without warning or errors. I first thought it was overheating but it does it sometimes within minutes of being turned on for the first time in a day.Today, it shut off twice so I pulled the cover to check the battery connection. After unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, the PC would not turn on for about 30 minutes at all. It also now will not turn on unless it's plugged in, regardless of the battery charge, which remains at 81% and healthy according to the BIOS.Every update of windows or audio drivers changes the settings and defaults of my headphones to something else. There's are 3 locations of settings to choose which audio hardware you are using, and they all get swapped around. Having to dig through each one to figure out why my mic stops working for example, is annoying. These issues are far beyond my ability and desire to fix. In short, this has been the most problematic PC I've ever had the displeasure of using. And at $1700 it's laughably bad. A "Gaming PC" that overheats at idle while the screen is in sleep mode is just stupid.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing with some minor setbacks
By Luis Fermin
Its a great laptop for the price. There are problems with over heating and bloateare from the initial turn on and use. These problems can be circumvented if you do a fresh windows install and install a 3rd party app yo control the fans as the dell software is horrible for fan control. Keynote: the Dell software will tell the fans to start revving up when its already too late and your GPU is cooking.Another reason people may stay away is the bios upgrade for some reason limiting the size of RAM to 32g. Not a huge deal but we are heading into a world where RAM is being logged by all types of bloatware so 64g is becoming the go-to.All of this being said, you get a solid piece of machinery and graphic power for the price and if taken care of, can last quite a while before needing to upgrade to the next best thing.P.S. if youre still getting overheating. Get yourself a quality laptop cooling pad to decrease those temps by like 10°C. Don't complain that it'll be too loud because you'll most likely be wearing headphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for everyday use and casual gaming

As someone who enjoys gaming and often juggles multiple tasks, this laptop has been a great fit for my needs. The large Full screen really stands out. it makes watching videos and playing games feel immersive and smooth. Also, impressed with how quickly it starts up and handles apps, even when switching between assignments, streaming, and casual web browsing. It’s been a reliable companion so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, run smooth and looks cool!

I've been daily using it and I'm loving it. This laptop handles everything smooth without any lag even with multiple apps and multiple tabs open. I regularly have 20+ chrome tabs open along with other apps like teams, slack, Illustrator, etc and it just keeps running smooth. The design looks slick, nice and thin with metal finish. To be honest it feels way more expensive than it is.Battery lasts me through most of the workday, its decent, around 5~6 hours working without charging.Overall its a great pick if you don't want to spend too much and need a powerful laptop.
