Vivobook 18 Laptop, 18” WUXGA 144Hz Display, AMD Ryzen 7 260 with XDNA NPU, AMD Radeon Graphics, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Quiet Blue, M1807HA-DB79

I’ve had the ASUS Vivobook 18 Laptop, 18” WUXGA 144Hz Display, AMD Ryzen 7 260 with XDNA NPU, AMD Radeon Graphics, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD for a few weeks now and I’m impressed with the speed. I’m taking online classes, watching videos, shopping, using word and excel and emailing etc and the graphics are great, the volume is nice and loud, it pairs to Bluetooth devices easily, the 18” screen is amazing and the backlit keyboard is a great feature. It’s a handsome dark blue color and appears to be very sturdy. It has plenty of ports as well. The only negative thing that really stands out is how heavy it is. You might be tempted to get an 18” screen for an elderly person so they can see it better but trust me… it’s not as portable as other laptops I’ve had so unless they are going to leave it on a desk, it’s not the right choice for an older person or a young kid.Specs wise… I’m very happy with it and it runs great. Good battery life too.UPDATE: I left this review about a month ago before classes started and I had ever tried the camera. It turns out the WebCam and the camera do not work even after 45 minutes on the phone with ASUS tech support. I jumped through all the hoops of uninstalling and reinstalling and updating and all of the things that are suggested online plus tech-support so I ended up sending this back. I’m bummed about it because I love the laptop, but one of the main features I need is a working WebCam.

New machine, Windows 11. Many times the keyboard just quits working, and the mouse. The only fix it to use the power button to restart.USB headphones (that work with all my other computers) quit working several times a day. The Win 11 settings say they're connected, but no sound comes out. Only fix is a restart.Would not buy again.
