4.0 out of 5 stars It's a turtle but I can't be too choosy
By Luke of the Wild
This is about what I expected for the price point here, but going from my Ryzen 7 5800x and 48 gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM to this potato is frustrating in all the worst ways. It can handle at most three open tabs in Chrome reliably, I attempted to open 25 tabs and the PC crashed. It's horrifically slow, from CPU to RAM to the WiFi card. That being said, the screen is pretty decent, I like the keyboard a lot, the touchpad is a decent size (I prefer larger touchpads) and the light weight is very handy. It's got a numpad which is a weird must-have for me, and it doesn't make the laptop massive to accommodate the additional space on the keyboard. The build quality seems nice so far and I appreciate the HDMI port on such a slim profile. All in all, it's exactly what I need, even though it's incredibly slow, I'm only using it to type out documents, check emails, and print shipping labels, so it's doing what I need, which is the bare minimum. I wouldn't recommend this laptop if you need to do any sort of actual work, it should be a subsidiary computer.

5.0 out of 5 stars People are too harsh it’s great!
By christine
i see so many reviews saying it’s so slow and it sucks, it’s truly a great laptop considering the price point. i wasn’t expecting a super fast top of the line laptop BUT it has been preforming just fine, the battery compacity is good considering how small and light weight this laptop is, and has no issues loading up many things. i haven’t had any issues streaming content and it hasn’t frozen, there’s been a few things that took a short moment to load but it really isn’t as terrible as these reviews make it out to be! i would reccomend this for laptop for someone who needs a laptop for school/collage/classes and is on a budget!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the limitations of Windows 11 Home in S Mode?
Windows 11 Home in S Mode restricts software installation to apps verified and available in the Microsoft Store. You cannot install traditional .exe programs from other sources unless you switch out of S Mode, which is a free and permanent process.
Is the 64GB storage sufficient for typical use, and can it be upgraded?
The 64GB eMMC storage is a compact, soldered type of flash memory. It is suitable for basic tasks and cloud-based workflows but offers limited space for large software suites or extensive local media libraries. This storage is not user-upgradable.
How does the fanless design impact performance?
The fanless design eliminates noise, making the laptop silent during operation. This is possible because the Intel Celeron N4020 processor is a low-power, efficient chip that generates minimal heat, though it also means the laptop is not intended for demanding, sustained workloads.
What does the 180-degree lay-flat hinge allow me to do?
The hinge allows the laptop screen to open completely flat (180 degrees) against a surface. This is designed for easy content sharing with others in a collaborative setting, as the screen can be viewed from opposite sides without moving the entire device.
What type of connectivity and ports does this laptop have?
It includes two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port for connecting peripherals and storage. For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), which is faster than older 802.11n standards. There is no optical drive or Ethernet port built-in.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
