5.0 out of 5 stars Still the Champeen!
By Strategos
So you can get a 2020 MacBook Air for about $400 these days, is that the right move for anyone in their right mind? Yes. Absolutely yes.I've bought or played with a few Netbooks, but the reliability is absolutely terrible, as in the screen fails in a couple of years. For a couple hundred bucks more, you get an actual laptop that has good battery life, can play your YouTube and scroll your Facebook, and oh yeah, it's an actual LAPTOP that can store files, run a gazillion apps (including games), has a quality touchpad and keyboard, and a dazzling screen.I got one because I need to write product reviews and respond to emails, and I'm just tired of dealing with the janky Netbooks that can't save files properly or actually run the full version of Steam or Blizzard app so I can play a few card games in the evening.Unlike an iPad where your copy of Hearthstone you bought it to play stops working in a year unless you buy a brand new iPad for more money, the power of a full laptop ensures that basic apps like this will work practically forever.Usability is excellent. Scrolling and zooming is smooth, keyboard feels great and responsive, screen is easy on the eyes. Latest Mac OS runs, and runs fine. Unlike Windows you won't be hunting down drivers for hours (days?) and after installing the latest OS you can get right to work.App installation is clunky on a Mac unless you use the App Store (by design) so it's a pain in the neck as always. Likewise finding folder locations is also a pain in the neck because Apple doesn't want you to use them. That said if you have simple needs, even an old Mac Ultrabook is still an Ultrabook. People at my old job used to constantly complain they wanted a computer that was fast AND small AND light. Oh yeah, and with a good battery life. They were using Windows laptops but what they wanted was a Macbook Air. And who can blame them? For 90% of people an M1 MacBook Air that's been refurbished is still a better laptop than anything that runs Windows until you get into thousands of dollars price tag.If you want a first computer, a web computer, a light gaming-on-the-go or card-games-on-your-lap computer this is what you want. I wouldn't use it for a desk computer (a Mac Mini is great for most people) but for a laptop, it's still the king. Get the newest model if you have money to burn or need the power (you'll know if you do).

5.0 out of 5 stars It looks and runs like brand new
By Bradley Ben
The only proof that it’s not brand new is the vax that it came in and the battery being at 95%, it looks clean and brand new otherwise. The screen is beautiful its lighter than the pro and its seems like a good value for money. Any smudge is from my hand, also it’s 128 gb storage 8gb ram like it say in the description.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Renewed Premium' mean for this MacBook Air?
This is a professionally inspected and tested pre-owned Apple MacBook Air that has been restored to full functionality. It is sold with a 90-day supplier-backed warranty, ensuring it meets high-quality standards for performance and appearance.
Is the 128GB SSD storage sufficient for everyday use?
The 128GB solid-state drive provides fast boot times and app loading, but its capacity is best suited for light to moderate use. It's ideal for web browsing, document work, and streaming, but may fill quickly if you store large media libraries or many applications locally.
How does the fanless design affect performance?
The fanless design allows for completely silent operation. The Apple M1 chip's energy efficiency and advanced thermal management enable sustained performance for everyday tasks without needing active cooling, though intensive, prolonged workloads may see reduced speeds to manage heat.
What is the actual screen resolution of this model?
The 13.3-inch Retina display has a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, which results in sharp, vibrant visuals. The product details specify this resolution, while the main specs list it as null.
What ports are available on this MacBook Air?
This model includes two USB ports: one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port. It does not have USB-C or Thunderbolt ports, which are found on newer MacBook Air models. You may need adapters for connecting modern peripherals.

great laptop for the price. The 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd provide smooth performance and the 180° hinge is a nice touch. Windows 11 runs well, and the sleek Silver Gray design looks premium. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky setup, but end result was worth it

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
