I am writing to express my disappointment with the refurbished laptop I received from my recent order. I specifically chose an “excellent condition” product, but upon unboxing, I immediately noticed physical damage to the body and a green discoloration on the back.While I was initially willing to overlook the cosmetic issues, I discovered a much bigger problem when turning it on. The laptop had no option for English language setup, and despite multiple attempts — including using Google Translate just to log into my Apple ID — I was unable to change the language from the one it was preset to. This makes the laptop completely unusable for me. My school begins in three days, and now I am forced to return the device, wait for a refund, and start the process over — leaving me without a functioning laptop and no funds to purchase another until the refund is processed. This has caused me significant stress and inconvenience.I expect a replacement or full refund .I hope you will take steps to ensure this does not happen to other customers.

I wanted a newer MacBook, but didn’t want to pay the new price. This computer works like new. The description was not accurate though. The lid has some slight dents and a few small scratches. The screen has a small scratch on the edge. I contacted Amazon about the discrepancy and they offered me $100 credit. For what I ended up spending on it I can live with the slight imperfections. So far it has worked perfectly and the battery life is great. I don’t notice the scratch on the screen unless the screen is off. I covered the dents with some cute stickers. Only 4 stars because the seller didn’t do a good job accurately describing it.

The media could not be loaded. When I first booted this laptop up, it presented me with a "defaultuser0" account that I didn't know the password to. I completely wiped this laptop's SSD and reinstalled Windows to play it safe, and after that it worked like a charm with regular setup. I did have to find drivers online for the touchpad afterward though.Getting at the SSD to do all of this was thankfully pretty easy, since the bottom panel was removable with a few tiny screws. I noticed that there is only a single slot for RAM in there, but it isn't soldered on so I was able to upgrade it with a 16 gig stick at least. The N97 is no gaming powerhouse but it plays some older titles still, and the laptop works great for work like emails and browsing the internet.
